Report on FENDERIST Vol.08 – Bike Area
The bike area is expanding, and the mini-bike culture deserves attention.
As mentioned in a previous article, FENDERIST has always featured a strong lineup of motorcycles, but this year the number of participants increased even further.
While the majority were 4-stroke bikes and scooter-style minibikes, the exhibition also included large-displacement motorcycles, big scooters, and even bicycles. The sight of rows upon rows of minibikes lined up together was truly spectacular.
The area was filled with energy, showcasing everything from meticulously crafted hard-custom builds to bikes that pursued sense. It attracted a diverse group of builders who sought the highest quality of customization, as well as enthusiastic visitors eager to see their creations.
For example, this Super Cub might look like an ordinary commuter bike at first glance. In Japan, it is well-known as a workhorse used for deliveries, but this particular one had undergone extensive tuning, from the engine to the intake and exhaust systems.
Another standout was a Honda Zoomer customized with Yamaha VOX components, fitted with 6J wheels at the front. The tasteful use of color, combined with bold modifications, made it a machine that perfectly balances creativity and craftsmanship.
In this way, FENDERIST gathered a fascinating variety of bikes that transcended genres. It seems clear that the kind of enthusiasts who enjoy FENDERIST’s unique car culture also share a natural affinity with these highly customized minibikes.
The bike area showed every sign of further expansion in the future.
